Welcome to the Lions Wrestling Club. We promote the sport of wrestling in the McLean, Langley, Great Falls, Falls Church and Arlington areas of northern Virginia. We welcome beginners as well as experienced wrestlers ages 5 to 14 years old. Our wrestlers will be the future stars of the McLean, Marshall, Langley and Arlington County high school wrestling teams.
Our mission is to teach the sport of wrestling and to teach the values and character traits that wrestling reinforces. These include dedication and hard work as the path to success, a refusal to give up, an attitude of personal confidence, and most of all, taking responsibility for one's own successes and failures. We also like the kids to have fun.
We are part of the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation (NVWF) which consists of 30 clubs throughout northern Virginia. Tournaments are usually held on Sundays, starting in December and continuing until the end of February. Practices are twice a week, beginning in mid-November.
As always, new wrestlers are welcome. The NVWF is the perfect place for beginning wrestlers to learn the sport. Rookies are typically matched against other rookies at our weekly meets.
Registration is currently closed, and will open for the 2018-19 season in October. Check back with us then,
