Welcome to the Lions Wrestling Club

Welcome to the Lions Wrestling Club.  We promote the sport of wrestling in the McLean, Langley, Great Falls, Falls Church and Arlington areas of northern Virginia. We welcome beginners as well as experienced wrestlers ages 6 to 14 years old.  Our wrestlers will be the future stars of the McLean, Marshall, Langley and Arlington County high school wrestling teams.

Our mission is to teach the sport of wrestling and to teach the values and character traits that wrestling reinforces.  These include dedication and hard work as the path to success, a refusal to give up, an attitude of personal confidence, and most of all, taking responsibility for one's own successes and failures. We also like the kids to have fun.
We are part of the Northern Virginia Wrestling Federation (NVWF) which consists of 30 clubs throughout northern Virginia. Tournaments are usually held on Sundays, starting in December and continuing until the end of February. Practices are twice a week.

As always, new wrestlers are welcome. The NVWF is the perfect place for beginning wrestlers to learn the sport. Rookies are always matched against other rookies at our weekly meets.

Due to demand, we have now closed registration for the 16-17 season. Registration for the 17-18 season will open in October. Check back with us then.

Go Lions!

Schalles Camp Aug. 21-24

We've reopened registration for our Wade Schalles Camp Aug. 21-24 after securing a larger space in the upper gym of McLean HS. The morning session is open to all Lions wrestlers, including beginners and those with experience. The cost for Lions families is only $99 for the morning session. The afternoon  session is for our more experienced wrestlers.
